This is a community for those who practise anachronic arts - creative arts in the style of a previous historical period. Writers, poets, artists and dramatists whose work deviates from modern day norms, in form and content, are welcome to post their pieces here. This group should be the equivalent of a literary and artistic salon; a place to share and display your work, to recieve critiques, and to discuss the arts with intellectual rigour and passion.
The host's current most beloved example of archaic art, Aubrey Beardsley's "The Peacock Skirt"
If you are going to post a piece of work, please be aware that it may recieve both compliments and criticisms. Members are welcome to judge the submitted pieces as they please, although crudely hostile posts, which are not tempered with at least a little wit, will be deleted.
If you are going to post a comment on a piece of work, please be as detailed as possible with your response; although simple congratulatory messages of praise are pleasant for the artist, words of advice and critical analyses are often more useful.
